From the basic material to its final form, Aizome is impregneted by Fujiyoshida.
Manufactured in the city, taking kakajiku’s appearance, the fabrics took the blue indigo color. It’s with the dyeing variation process that I chose to show the irregularities formed by rust on the houses. Through the use of a traditional fabric, Aizome provides an insight to a particular environment.
The embroidery, in its timeless and slow process, enhance the sensation of a fantasyland which I illustrated by using some traditional Japanese patterns.
As if time was suspended and, in the same time, surrounded by the daily noise, this very sensation is highlighted by the audio recording of Yuta Sugihara.
De sa matière à sa forme finale, Aizome est imprégné par Fujiyoshida.
Manufacturés dans la ville, prenant l’apparence de kakejikus, les textiles prennent la couleur de l’indigo. C’est par la variation de cette teinture que j’ai choisi de figurer les irrégularités formées par la rouille présente sur les maisons. Cette impression de «bulle d’un ailleurs» est rehaussée par la technique lente et intemporelle de la broderie, à travers laquelle j’ai interprété des motifs traditionnels japonais.
Aizome retrace donc la perception d’un environnement à travers la tradition textile d’un lieu.
Ce temps en suspens, rythmé par les bruits du quotidien est relevé par la captation sonore de Yuta Sugihara.
